Community ideas workshop

The hall is a five-minute walk from Westbridge bus station. Routes 2, 6 and 11 stop nearby. A small free car park is behind the building. On-street parking is also available after 5pm. Two Blue Badge spaces are beside the main entrance. Drivers can stop briefly beside the main entrance before using the rear car park. Use the glass double doors beneath the blue Community Hall sign. The main entrance and workshop room are step-free.

The workshop room has level access and space for wheelchairs and mobility aids. An accessible toilet is available beside the workshop room. Chairs with and without arms are available. You can move seats or stand whenever needed. A portable hearing loop is available. Please tell us when booking if you would like it set up. Personal assistants and carers are welcome and do not need a separate paid ticket. Assistance dogs are welcome. Water can be provided.

Conversation-level noise is expected. The room may become busier during group activities. The room uses overhead LED lighting. A quieter side room has softer lamps. Up to 30 people may attend, but activities are organised in smaller groups. Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be served. No scented products are used by the organisers. A separate quiet room is available throughout the session. You may leave the room and return at any point without explanation.

Sam from Neighbourhood Spark will meet visitors at the entrance from 5.15pm. Up to 30 people, usually working in groups of four to six. Welcome, short introduction, optional small-group activities, a break and time for individual questions. You can speak, write, draw or simply listen. No one will be required to present to the room. A scheduled break takes place halfway through, and visitors can take additional breaks whenever needed. Tea, coffee, water and individually wrapped snacks are available. Please tell us about allergies when booking. No photography or filming will take place without asking on the day. The session ends at 7.30pm. Staff remain available until 7.45pm for individual questions.

Bring any notes you already have, but no preparation is required. Wear whatever is comfortable. The room can feel cool in the evening.
